Siemens Climatix OEM controls driver for GreenTech EC motors made by ebm-papst

Climatix OEM controllers - tailored to HVAC applications.

Climatix™ offers a comprehensive range of flexible and scalable control solutions – from standard to freely programmable.

The controller range has been designed for any type of OEM HVAC application, perfectly suited for use with chillers, heat pumps, air handling units, fan coil units, roof tops, high-precision air conditioning units, and district heating or cooling substations.

The controllers operate reliably even under extreme temperature conditions (from -40 °C to 70 ºC/-40 °F to 158 °F).

The unique modularity of the I/O extensions (6, 14, 15, 22, 27 I/Os) and communications (Modbus, M-bus, TCP/IP, BACnet/IP, BACnet/MSTP, SCADA support, web server, etc.) offers customers a high-end controls platform in the HVAC industry and an economic solution for the respective applications and communication requirements.

A wide range of user interfaces (analog, digital and touch room units, industrial HMIs, high performance touch panels) – supported by a cloud-based service platform and various commissioning and factory tools – complement the versatile controller portfolio.

Climatix – tailored to HVAC applications and OEM needs.

All Climatix controllers include built-in Modbus interfaces to drive GreenTech EC motors to improve efficiency and receive information for diagnostics and optimum fan management – with no extra cost.

The new Climatix air conditioning solution from Siemens incorporates the Modbus driver of ebm-papst, which means no need for extra programming.

Therefore it reduces production and on site costs and minimizes wiring, start-up and commissioning efforts.

The Modbus driver for the GreenTech EC motors was jointly developed with ebm-papst to guarantee the best energy efficiency and performance and to meet the demanding requirements placed on state-of-the-art fan management.

Siemens Albatros2 OEM Controller - all in one

The heat pump controller range comprises 2 different versions: RVS61 with housing, RVS21 as a PCB version.

Our flexible solution for heat pumps meets all requirements of residential and commercial buildings, independent of the type of primary energy source.

On the secondary side, heating, DHW, cooling, storage, integration of solar, and cascading are just a few examples showing the versatility of our product range. Integration of residential ventilation, complementary energy sources and hybrid solutions complete Siemens’ offering.

Hybrid solution consisting of heat pump and gas boiler

A modern controller meets the increasing demand for efficient and cost-optimized combinations of heat pump and condensing gas boiler. Depending on the current performance (COP) of the heat pump, the electricity tariff and the heat demand, the controller decides which of the generators is the most suited.

Efficiency and new directives

New directives call for even more efficient and sustainable solutions when it comes to heat recovery, controlled room ventilation and energy monitoring. A higher coefficient of performance is the main objective of our strategies. New functions, such as intelligent DHW charging, dedicated defrosting strategies, and control of electronic expansion valves and vapor injection, help increase the performance.

The whole solution is smart grid ready, which means that it is capable of responding to different electricity tariffs or using other heat sources.

Plant accessible from anywhere, right at your fingertips. Efficiency in service operation. Information available via SmartPhone, Internet and BACS.

Intuitive operation and commissioning

Since applications become increasingly versatile, ease of operation is the key factor for fast and correct installation and commissioning.

The graphical display shows all the required information which can be retrieved – easily and quickly.

Remote management and system integration

Remote management and monitoring including alarming and trending are made possible via web server or modbus. Modbus also facilitates integration into building automation systems (BACS) and the connection to other devices.
